The Firm advises and guides prospective foreign investors on Nigeria compliance procedures and regulatory consents and all other aspects of Nigerian investment law and practice, including immigration matters. We have worked closely with the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission and other Federal Government Ministries in obtaining the whole gamut of approvals that are required by foreign potential investors. In this regard we have advised foreign airlines setting up in Nigeria, a company making substantial property investments in Lagos and a number of new manufacturing operations, including some which have located in the Lagos Free Trade Zone.

The Firm structures Joint Venture projects between foreign and Nigerian entities. The Firm equally assists and guides companies seeking to dis-invest from such ventures. These tasks are considerably facilitated by our network of contacts within the regulatory authorities and the combined pool of in-house experience garnered from a long history of similar transactions.

Amongst many major projects with which the Firm has been closely involved, we advised on and prepared proposed securitisation packages, and participated in the negotiations, for project financing of a mega scale chemical plant, initially to be financed through the conversion of Nigeria's debt instruments, acquired by the borrower and converted in accordance with extant guidelines of the Debt Conversion Programme, as modified by the agreements prepared by this Firm.
