The Firm advises and guides investors and their professional advisers (foreign and local) on the regulatory regime for doing business in Nigeria.  We advise on compliance procedures and practice. Members of the Firm have represented clients before regulatory and administrative bodies and act as liaison between clients and various agencies of government at State and Federal levels.

Key members or resources persons of the firm commenced their legal careers in the public sector and some have held political and/or public office at state and federal levels.  Their personal knowledge of the workings of government and the various regulatory agencies, the combined pool of in-house experience garnered over the years from a history of similar transactions, coupled with the considerable goodwill and reputation nurtured and sustained over the year by these members, enable the firm to provide clients with an expeditious and cost effective service in this area of practice, where the existence of goodwill at various levels of the system is an essential attribute. The services of the Firm are therefore sought after where there is need for legislative advocacy.

Some members of the team advised the Federal Government of Nigeria on all constitutional issues relating to the 2009 Fiscal Responsibility Bill, to states and local governments, in the light of related constitutional and other statutory provisions and the current judicial thinking on issues relating to public finance management and fiscal federalism in Nigeria.

Several members of the Firm have experience in National Assembly advocacy, having rendered legal advisory services to Committee's of the Federal Senate and of the House of Representatives, on matters such as public procurement, finance, banking and other financial institutions and pension fund policy and administration.
